This slide stainer was developed at Biocare to give the user an inexpensive alternative to automated immunostainers. It features an innovative tilt-action rack that eliminates individual slide handling and prevents cross-contamination. The digital programmable HOTBAR enables the user to elevate the temperature up to 95° for IHC and for in situ applications. It can be used for incubating antibodies, digestion techniques, drying aqueous media and ISH applications.
The Orbital Shaker (shown on bottom) mixes evenly and spreads the reagents over the slides and accelerates the staining reaction.
The IQ Kinetic Slide Stainer is compact and modular, allowing the user to easily add multiple units. Immunohistochemical, in situ and special stain protocols can all be adapted to this open system. Compared to automated systems, the IQ delivers overall flexibility, lower cost per test and superior optimum staining.
