Biocare Medical Desert Chamber Slide Drying Oven

This new innovative oven from Biocare is extremely efficient and is especially designed for rapid drying of slides. The combination of a compact oven, small footprint, turbo fan, 300-watt element, digital timer and a Digital Temperature Process Controller makes this oven uniquely superior to other conventional drying ovens. The Digital Temperature Process Controller can also automatically calibrate for the amount of mass and volume placed inside the oven, and therefore keeps the inside temperature constant. 750+ slide capacity. Temperature range is 25º to 100º C.

The Desert Chamber Pro can easily do ten or more different multi-step programs
and comes preprogrammed with five basic programs:

• Standard 37º for 30 min. and then continues to 60º for 30 min.
• Fast Dry 45º for 20 min. and then continues to 70º for 10 min.
• Bulk 45º for 30 min. and then continues to 70º for 30 min.
• Overnight 37º for 60 min. and then continues to 60º for 60 min.
• Delayed 25º f or 720 min., then to 37º for 60 minutes and then to 60º for 60 min.
  
  You can use any of the above programs or create many of your own. The turbo-action drying oven is extremely efficient for bulk drying, especially with today’s aggressive HIER methods for immunohistochemistry. The turbo fan quickly removes excess moisture between the tissue and glass slide. The Desert Chamber Pro can be programmed with variable segments, times, temperatures and buzzers. Fast and efficient slide drying methods are useful for immunohistochemistry, H&E, special stains and in situ hybridization.
